Inclusive e-commerce

Hey welcome back to my weekly blog, on this week’s blog I’m gonna talk about inclusive e-commerce. You might be wondering what is inclusive e-commerce, well in this blog I’m going to tell you what it is, how it works and some online sites that use this type of e-commerce.

What is inclusive e-commerce? Inclusive e-commerce is an online store as any other online store but the difference is that it has an option for people who suffer a physical disability. For example blind people, blind people for those who don’t know what are blind people is a person who lost its sight, therefore is almost impossible for them to buy products online, the only way they could buy something online is with the help of someone who is not blind. That’s where inclusive e-commerce comes in handy. 

There is already technology that helps blind people use their smartphones, with a voice output that helps blind people with the keyboard or finding apps on their phone. Well for inclusive e-commerce is basically the same, using that same technology of the voice output, a voice coming from their phone will be asking them about their products they are looking among other things, also it will give them instructions that they need to follow in order to find the product they want, especially if that product are clothes to find the right size and the right color. Some of the advantages of this technology is that blind people can also shop online without the need of help of someone else, when a blind person finds a website that has that option they are tend to be loyal to that online store which results in a considerable increase of sells for the company. The main disadvantage is that not many online stores have that option which limit blind people to buy in certain online stores.
