Canvas model

 Canvas model

Hi again, welcome back, as you may already noticed, most of my post are related to each other or complete each other, so without the intention of breaking that streak, this time we will talk about the Canvas model. For those who already know what a Canvas model is I hope you learn something new by reading this blog, for those who doesn’t know what a canvas model is, keep reading and soon enough you’ll find out.

The canvas model is a tool that would help you understand a business in a more structured way. The canvas model is made of nine segments. Customer segments, value proposition, revenue stream, channels, customer relationships, key activities,  key resources, key partners and cost structure. Now I’ll give you a brief explanation of each one of the segments.

Customer segment: the customer segments is related to whom are you going to sell your product, who are your clients.

Value proposition: what makes your product different from the others, what makes it special.

Revenue stream: how to make your product produce financial gain to your company.

Channels: The way that you are going to reach to your customers so you can sell your product.

Customer relationships: how your business interacts with its customers.

Key activities: the activities your business do to achieve the value proposition.

Key resources: the resources you will need to do business

Key partners: the external companies, suppliers or parties you need to produce your product.

Cost structure: the amount of money it will cost you to operate as a business.

As you can see is actually pretty simple and you can download the templates from internet in case you want to do one. This would be the end of the blog, I know it was pretty short this time, but I promise next time it will be better. See you all next week with a new post.
